- For in-frame installation:Please fill in the custom form with the exact measurement of the opening to 1/8 inch, or if your window opening is a full inch, select 0/0 so the shade will fit perfectly in the opening. For interior installations, you need a minimum depth of 2.95 inches at the top of the window.
- For exterior sash installations: we do not make any deductions - provide us with the exact size you want the sash to be when you fill out the custom form. Traditionally, exterior mounts are installed above the window opening and are slightly wider than the window opening by at least 2.5 inches or more when choosing a width dimension so that the sash will block the light perfectly.
